Northeast Georgia Regional Student Technology Competition


Guidelines for School District Participation:

  • Districts must indicate their intent to participate by August 1st each year by emailing

  • NEGA STC project registration is due by December 15, 2023.

  • Each participating school district must have a designated district coordinator who will participate in virtual planning meetings. 

  • Each school district may send one project per category and division.

  • Thanks to our generous sponsors, registration is free for participating students!

  • School districts must provide two volunteer judges for every 10 projects entered.

Students will compete in divisions individually or in teams of two. If the two team members are not in the same grade, the project will be entered into the grade level division of the student in the highest grade.

  • Grades 3-4

  • Grades 5-6

  • Grades 7-8

  • Grades 9-10

  • Grades 11-12

Students may only enter one project category within their division.  However, students in grades 7-12 can additionally enter into the Programming Challenge.
