The Northeast Georgia RESA Substitute Teacher Training is a dynamic and required program designed to equip you with the essential skills and knowledge to serve as a substitute teacher in the following school districts:

Oconee Oglethorpe Social Circle City Walton

Through hands-on group activities and expert guidance, you’ll leave this training feeling confident, prepared, and ready to step into the classroom with success.

**Substitutes must complete the entire training, therefore, individuals arriving more than ten minutes after the starting time will not be admitted to the training.
​
*Please note that if there is not a minimum of 6 participants registered, the training will be canceled. A 24 hour notice will be sent. Thank you.
Detailed registration instructions:​

Sign Up. Enter the last four numbers of your SS# as your teacher certification number or any for digits will do if yours are unavailable. DO NOT select a specific district. Select the second “other” for your district. Then select “other” for school.

It is the participant’s responsibility to complete the application process with the system(s) they wish to work. This includes completing an application, references and fingerprinting/background check. In addition, participants should confirm with the system(s) the minimum educational requirements for the substitutes.
