Ready to step into the classroom and make a difference? The Northeast Georgia RESA Substitute Teacher Training is a hands-on, engaging program that gives you the tools, confidence, and know-how to become an effective substitute teacher.
This training is required for anyone who wishes to substitute in the following districts:
You’ll participate in group activities, learn practical strategies, and leave feeling prepared to support students and schools with confidence.
A Few Important Notes:

Please plan to arrive on time. Substitutes must complete the entire training, so anyone arriving more than 10 minutes late will not be admitted.

Sessions require a minimum of six participants. If a session does not meet this requirement, it will be canceled, and you’ll receive a 24-hour notice.
How to Register:

Sign Up. Enter the last four digits of your SS# as your teacher certification number, or any four digits will do if yours are unavailable. DO NOT select a specific district. Select the second “other” for your district. Then select “other” for school.

Please remember: completing this training is just one step. You are responsible for finishing the application process with the district(s) where you hope to work. This includes submitting an application, references, and completing fingerprinting/background checks. Be sure to check with each district about their minimum educational requirements for substitutes.
